Introduction and History
Lord Dharma Sastha known also as Ayyappa Swamy is the main deity. Sub-deities are Lord Ganapathy, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Durga Devi,Lord Hanuman Swamy, Subramanya Swamy,Nagar,Navagraha etc.
Sree Dharma Sastha Temple is situated at Thycaud in Thiruvananthapuram City near to Govt. Model School and Govt. Arts College. This ancient Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Dharma Sastha (Lord Ayyappa Swamy). The distance from the temple to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport is 8 km and to the Central Railway Station and Bus Station is 1.5 km. The temple is administered by Nair Service Society.
These include Ganapathi Homam, Archana, Muzhukappu, Pushpanjali, Aravana Payasam, Panchamritham, Paalpayasam. Neerajanam is an important offering in this temple and on all Saturdays there is a heavy rush for this offering. A large number of worshipers perform ‘Navagraha Pooja’.
Sastha who is also known as Lord Ayyappa Swamy. Dharma Sastha is a highly revered deity in South India but these temples are comparatively less. The Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa Swamy temple is well famous and is visited by devotees from all over India and abroad. Thycaud Dharma Sastha temple is visited by large number of devotees everyday.
Apart from structural beauty the Temple have got literally Shining environment with neat-clean conditions and hygiene protocols.
The environment is totally full of Spirituality and Peace.
Although , the temple is surrounded with awesome views of rocks,mountains and lots of greenery here.
Ramnavami, Diwali, Dushera, Maha Shivaratri and Thiruvathira are the days which attract huge crowds to the temple.

Morning – 5.30 to 12.00
Evening – 5.00 to 8.00 .
Alll days in week but the timings can be deffer on the festival days!
The months between September to January are the best to visit Mandir due to salubrious weather of the place. In Summers, it gets quite cold making it a bit inconvenient to travel.

Modes of Travel
By Air:
Trivandrum Airport, located just 6 km away, is an international airport that connects this beautiful city with rest of India and world. Suiting their budget and requirement, travellers can choose from executive, deluxe, sleeper and luxury buses. You can also drive to Trivandrum from Kovalam via Kovalam Bypass Road or NH 47 Bypass Road, a journey that takes just around an hour.
By rail:
Trivandrum Central, about 6 km away from the city centre, is well linked to major cities in India via an extensive rail network. There are frequent trains plying from Trivandrum railway station for cities such as New Delhi, Bangalore, Indore, Mumbai, Chennai and Guwahati, to mention a few. Some of the major trains available from here include Kerala Express, Swaranjayanti Express, Trivandrum Mail and Anantapuri Express. Taxis, cabs and buses are easily available from outside the railway station.
