Introduction and History
Shrunga Giri Sri Shanmukha temple is located in R.R Nagar., about 15 kms from the centre of the city. Mesmerizing place for getting lost in the world of devotion and spirituality. This temple is basically dedicated to lord Shanmukha also known as Subramanya or Karthikeya.
However, here you can also see a very beautiful Spatika Shiva linga or Crystal linga. You will surely feel that spiritual peace instantly after visiting this beautiful temple.
I have never seen before so many variety collections lord Ganesha idols inside the temple on the hill which are kept in showcase.
It often happens you come across beautiful artworks, but a unique & divine one, is rare! One such rare piece carved out of colorful imagination & artistic hands is this Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha Temple, heighted Shrungagiri hill, amidst the natural paradise of Bengaluru’s moderate weather. Temple of Lord Shanmukha (six faces) is a visual treat for photographers and visitors. What further adds to its beauty is the temple Gopuram which has around 2500 elegant crystals embedded to it, and they look breathtaking as sunlight makes them disperse colors like a rainbow! Its a perfect combination of modern and ancient arch, that will catch you amazed!

Although,Temple is small and placed on the road as it is so beautiful and clean.

Temple remains open from 6AM to 8PM and
Alll days in week but the timings can be deffer on the festival days!
The months between September to January are the best to visit Mandir due to salubrious weather of the place. In Summers, it gets quite cold making it a bit inconvenient to travel.

Modes of Travel
By Air:
Kempegowda International Airport or Bangalore Airport connects the city with all prime Indian and international cities. By road:
Bangalore is well connected with various cities via excellent network of state and private buses. While Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) connects the city with maximum nearby places, there are several private buses too that travellers can hop on. There are regular buses available from Goa (557 km), Coimbatore (368 km) and Mangalore (350 km), connecting Bangalore with these cities. Travellers can choose from air-conditioned coaches, luxury buses or state transportation buses, depending upon their budget and requirement. Besides, those who wish to drive to Goa from Bangalore can take NH 4 and NH 63 that connect both these cities in around 11 to 12 hours drive.
By train:
Bangalore City Railway Station (4 km away) and Yeswantpur Junction (10 km away) link the city of Bangalore with all the prime Indian cities including Delhi, Pune, Mysore, Chennai and Mumbai, among others. Trains such as Bangalore Rajdhani and Kongu Express run on a regular basis linking the city with India’s capital city, Delhi. Once you reach the station, you can take prepaid taxis or avail local bus services/taxis to get down in the city.
