Introduction and History
The small and beautiful shrine is situated in goa and the holy place of Bali.
Shantadurga (Devanagari:शांतादुर्गा, Śāntādurgā) is the most popular form of the Hindu goddess Durga revered in Goa, India, as well some parts of Karnataka. She is a Brahminical form of the ancient Mother goddess known as Santeri.
Though in few shrines dedicated to Shantadurga, an ant hill is found inside the sanctum in place a stone, metal image of the deity or a Kalasha is consecrated. Especially in Kavale temple metal image of the deity which is four handed, is depicted holding two male figures (Vishnu and Shiva) in her lower hands and snakes in the upper hands.
She is worshipped in almost all villages of Goa as an ant hill. This is seen in some temples dedicated to Shantadurga.
This is a famous temple in Goa and if you are coming, you should go on any other day except Sunday as public transport is closed here. It is raining in the rainy season so you can get in trouble. If you want to go to the beach of Goa, you can also visit many famous old buildings. There may be some problem in eating where you can get it, so you should take food with you. It is best to have your own four wheeler.
Visitors can see other deities Statues here like Lord Brahma, Lord Visy, Lord Ganesha, Lord Ram – Maa Siiya, Shera wali Maa, Durga Maa and Krishna ji also.
Apart from structural beauty the Temple have got literally Shining environment with neat-clean conditions and hygiene protocols.
The environment is totally full of Spirituality and Peace.

By air:
If you are coming to Goa by airways then the nearest international airport is located at Dabolim. Dabolim main airport is situated at a distance of almost 29 kilometers away from Panaji. This international airport is well connected with the major domestic cities as well as international major cities in U.K. and Germany as well.
By road:
