Introduction and History in Brief
The ancient Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Samlur is located around 9 KMs from District HQ Dantewada, here lies an ancient Shiva Temple almost intact and is being regularly worshiped by the disciples.
The historic temple of Lord Shiva, which is about 1000 years old … Rural tribals from nearby and remote areas come to offer water to Shiva in the month of Savan.
The temple of Shiva is said to be a very old temple or temple built by Vishwakarma. This temple falls in the village between Sionar Samalur; kartam ji.
Here, visitors can see the beautiful statues of Shiva Lingam, Ganesha, Nandi Naagdev etc …
Visitors and devotees can see many statues of holy deities like LORD BRAHMA, LORD SHIVA, LORD VISHNU AND MAA DURGA.
Devotees used to come to pray to Lord Ram, Maa Sita ,Laxmanji and Hanumanji also.
Apart from structural beauty the Temple has got a literally Shining environment with neat-clean conditions and hygiene protocols.

- Raipur and Visakhapatnam are the nearest major airports, both of which are about 400 kilometers by road from the district headquarter Dantewada. Jagdalpur is the nearest mini airport which has flight connectivity with both Raipur and Visakhapatnam.
- Visakhapatnam is connected by train to the district headquarter Dantewada. Two daily trains are available between Visakhapatnam and Dantewada
- Regular bus services are available between Raipur and Dantewada, Dantewada is also connected to Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam through regular bus services.
