Introduction and History in Brief
This temple of Lord Mahadev, dedicated to the religious faith of Mewar, is located at the confluence of the river Berch and Bankali. Here the Bankali river joins the Berach river coming from Bhinder.
The river Birch comes from Udaipur and finally joins the Chambal river at Chittor.
It is located on Udaipur Chittor Road, 12 km south of Kapasan.
The temple was bulit in 1969 by Gulabdanji,Shambhudanji and Chamandanji.
The temple is situated in the greenish abode of Surpuri Rajasthan.
As per Architecture,the temple has a simple descent architecture all made up of Indian Style.
From the entrance of the temple anyone can see the Shivalingam,Nandi Bull and special significance all covered with Specific Shiva-Parvati Sculptures.
Out side the main temple, there is also a separate Navgrah temple on the first floor wherein all the nine God Grah are established along with God Shani. Whole atmosphere is seren full of plants and trees in the lawns. At the entry of the temple there is ashor rack to keep the shoes. A board is placed to display weekly programs in the temple.

The temple is not accessible for wheelchair users. Drinking water is available. Cleanliness is maintained inside the temple. Few shops for buying Prasad and flowers etc are available outside. A must place to visit in Rajasthan for religious minded person.
Important News Related to Temple
The glory of the very ancient Sameliya Mahadev Temple, situated in the village panchayat Karanpur in the back water area of Sarjana Dam, about 40 km from Udaipur, is wonderful for devotees and local people as a Triveni Sangam for true faith and unwavering. Symbol of faith. It is believed that on the day of Mahashivratri, the doors of salvation are opened for the ancestors by offering tarpan in front of Sameliya Mahadev ji at the confluence.

The weapons of Bhagwan Shiva are Trishula (Trident), Pashupatastra, Parashu-Axe, Pinaka bow.
The ten hands of Goddess Durga hold in them a conch, discuss, lotus, sword, bow with arrow, trishul, mace, thunderbolt, snake and flame. Maa Durga carries these ten powerful weapons and sits on the king of all animals, lion to go into battle against evil.
Remember, for a Sanatani, Shastra (Weapon) and Shaastra (Holy Book) go together
Always carry the weapons of respective deity like Gada,Sword and Trishula.
