Introduction and History in Brief
The Riddheshwa Temple of Handia and Sidhnath Temple of Nemavar are famous for artistic beauty and Vastu Shastra. The Handia-based Riddnath Mahadev Temple is very ancient Shiv Mandir and is declared protected by the state government. Temple is 21 km from Harda district headquarters on Indore road. This temple is situated on the banks of river Narmada in village Handia. It is believed that this temple was built by Kuber himself.
The east-facing temple is raised on a high platform. The plan consists of mandapa and garbha-griha. The mandapa is an open structure based on eight rectangular pillars. A Nandi and a Shivlinga are enshrined in garbha-griha. The two pillars opposite mandapa are decorated with Shiva images, floral and leaf patterns on all four sides. The exterior of garbha-griha is plain and its walls have no decoration whatsoever. The roof of the temple is flat but barrel-shaped. The shikhar of the temple is of special type. In the centre a large dome is built and 13 mini domes are located around it. Legend has it that the temple was built by Kuber himself. From its architecture it seems to have been built in the 18th century A.D.
Visitors and devotees can see many statues of holy deities like LORD BRAHMA, LORD SHIVA LORD VISHNU AND MAA DURGA.
Devotees use to come pray to Lord Ram Maa Sita ,Laxmanji and Hanumanji also.
Although,Temple is small and placed on the road as it is so beautiful and clean.
Temple people use to follow all covid 19 protocols . Temple is surrounded by Lots of Trees and fresh air as far as environment concern.

The Temple is located at about 350 meters from Nemawar Bus Stand, 22 Kms from Harda, 24 Kms from Harda Railway Station, 34 Kms from Kannod, 133 Kms from Bhopal, 133 Kms from Indore and 143 Kms from Bhopal Airport. The temple is situated on Indore to Nagpur route.
By Air: 170 Kms from Indore Airport & 200 Kms from Bhopal Airport.
By Rail: 21 Kms from Harda Railway station and 165 Kms from Bhopal Railway station.
By Road: One can also go by bus or taxi from Indore to reach On Harda-Indore Road or Nemavar.
