Introduction and History in Brief

Narsingh monastery(Nepali: नरसिंह गुम्बा, Narsingh Gumba or Gompa) is a Buddhisht monastery located in Baragung Muktichhetra rural municipality of Mustang district in Nepal. It is situated in the northern side of the Muktinath temple. It was constructed in the 6th century AD.

The local Buddhists call it the temple of 1,000 lamps (Mharme Lha Khang Gompa).

The monastery has a statue of Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) and his friends Tibetan tantric deities Dag Po in the right side and Seng Dong in the left.[3][4] Hindus also worship in this monastery considering the deity of this monastery as the Narasimha Avatar (meaning humanoid lion) of Vishnu.

The monastery is constructed with stone and mud masonry. Due to leakage of water, it was renovated in 2018 in a cost of NPR 28.5 million.

Apart from structural beauty the Temple has got a literally Shining environment with neat-clean conditions and hygiene protocols.

The environment is totally full of Spirituality and Peace.
