Introduction and History in Brief
The ancient and we’ll beleived temple is dedicated to Goddess Munnurti Nnangai,this temple is situated in Suchindram Tamil Nadu nera the famous temple Thanumalayan.
A small but important temple in Suchindram right on the North East corner of the Suchindrum Temple Tank. Every year this amman’s deity is taken to Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple, Trivandrum during Navarathri and is worshipped by the people of Trivandrum.
Amman’s deity joins the daily morning and evening procession during Margazhi and Chithrai festivals of Main temple in Suchindram.
Another important and special event is all Tuesdays in the month of Aadi (July/August) when special pujas are conducted.
As per one belief, this Amman is the elder sister of Sri Thanumalayan and hence called Mun Uthiththa Nangai (Girl born before him)!
The main attractions of the temple are the the beautiful Statues of Varbhadra stated looks in the temple, on the top of the temple and the inspiring spirituality inside the temple.
Devotees can see statues of respective deities Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu,Lord Ganesha,Lord Kartikeya, Lord Ram – Maa Sita. Laxman ji,Hanumanji Maa Durga , Lord Krishna Maa Radha and Balram ji.
As a Temple concern, the premises are always said to be full of devotees during Morning and evening pray.
Although,Temple is small and placed on the road as it is so beautiful and clean.
Temple people used to follow all covid 19 protocols . Temple is surrounded by Lots of Trees and fresh air as far as the environment is concerned.
