Introduction and History
The temple is close to Lord Tungnath Temple also dedicated to Lord Tungnath.
There is a pratha or interesting fact that the idol or moorat of Lord Tungnath moved to this temple from the highest tungnath temple in winters.
It is always done just because the Tungnath Temple gets totally covered with snow .
Makkumath is a picturesque village perched at an elevation of 2100 mts in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. A paradise for bird lovers, Makkumath is home to rare Himalayan bird species and an ideal place for those seeking a respite from city life.
Many more nks can be seen meditating during winters also on the top of hill .
The quaint hamlet is surrounded by lush green mountains covered with evergreen tall oak, rhododendron and deodar forests boasting a serene environment full of greenery and peace.
As a Temple concern, the premises are always said to be full of devotees during Morning and evening pray.
Although,Temple is small and placed on the road as it is so beautiful and clean.
