Introduction and History
Located on Delwara Road, near the Delwara Jain Temple, is this small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple offers a very peaceful ambiance and is considered as one of the most ancient holy places located in Mount Abu. A small and beautiful temple, the Lal Mandir gets its name from the fact that all the walls of the temple have been painted red. The temple is one of the must visit spots in Mount Abu, popular among the religious tourists as well as others. The temple is also quite well-known for being a Swayambhu ‘ Shiva Temple, so named because the idol placed inside the temple can be seen wearing a ‘jenau’.
Visitors can see other deities Statues here like Lord Brahma, Lord Visy, Lord Ganesha, Lord Ram – Maa Siiya, Shera wali Maa, Durga Maa and Krishna ji also.
Apart from structural beauty the Temple have got literally Shining environment with neat-clean conditions and hygiene protocols.
The environment is totally full of Spirituality and Peace.

The temple is situated on legal site taking care by Mandir Committy, there is no legal obligation on Temple Property or Temple Schedule, Criteria, Adequates etc..

Udaipur Airport serves as the nearest airport to Mount Abu. Daily direct flights from Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai are available till Udaipur. Stopover flights from other Indian cities can be availed to reach Udaipur or direct flights can be availed till Ahmedabad. From Udaipur and Ahmedabad, local taxis are available for Mount Abu.
How to Reach Mount Abu by Rail
Abu Road railway station, located around 25 km away, serves the hill town of Mount Abu. Good number of trains connect Mount Abu with major Indian cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mumbai etc. to name a few. Visitors can hire private or shared taxis from outside the station for reaching the town.
How to Reach Mount Abu by Road
Many state transport and private buses operate from nearby cities of Mount Abu. Daily direct bus service to the hill station is available from Udaipur, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Baroda. Depending on budget, passengers can avail AC, deluxe or semi-deluxe buses.
The nearest domestic airport to Mount Abu is located at Udaipur at a distance of 210 km while the nearest international airport is located at Ahmedabad. The domestic airport is connected to major Indian cities like Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai. Taxis can be availed from the airport to reach Mount Abu conveniently.
Abu Road railway station is the nearest railhead to Mount Abu that lies on the lines between Delhi and Mumbai. This station connects Mount Abu to the major railheads.
