Introduction and History in Brief
This old but underrated temple is well believed shrine of Bhagwan Shiva and Maa Parvati situated near Mahalaxmi Maa Temple in Cumballa Hills, Mumbai Maharashtra.
Shree Dhakleshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the oldest temples in Mumbai (Bombay). It was built in 1835. The idol of the temple is Shree Mahadev (Shiva). Devotees from Maharashtra and all over the world visit here for peace and tranquility.
Shivrathri is the important festival which is celebrated here. During this time the temple is decorated with light arrangements which are very enchanting. This famous temple is located at Mahalakshmi area near the Mahalakshmi temple.
The temple reopened in 2008 after renovation works .The temple trust has now gained ISO certification for the temple and it now ensures high professional standards.
Apart from structural beauty the Temple has got a literally Shining environment with neat-clean conditions and hygiene protocols.
The environment is totally full of Spirituality and Peace.

Architecture
98% of people who visit Mahalakshmi temple do not even know about this temple. This temple is located very close and next to Mahalakshmi temple. The temple has a vast area and there are 5 deities. A very good place to sit and meditate.
it is inside the street. On way to Mahalaxmi temple where various flower, prasad vendors shops are there, one can find big signboard on the left “Dhakleshwar Mandir”.

Temple remains open from 6 PM to 9 PM and the best time to visit this temple will be during winters.
Alll days in week but the timings can be deffer on the festival days!
The months between January to April are the best to visit Mandir due to the salubrious weather of the place.

It is only 1 km from Mahalakshmi railway station in Mumbai. There are two more temples viz. Tryambakeshwar temple and Mahadev dhakleshwar temple near to the temple.
