This ancient temple built on 22 bighas of land is fully called Siddhapeeth. By the way, in the month of Sawan, the jai kare of Lord Shiva resonates all over India. But there is a huge crowd of devotees in the month of Sawan. Shri Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple was established in the 17th century after the appearance of Shivling from the ground. During that time the carvings made on the temple captivated the minds of all the devotees. But during the beautification of the temple, that carving was completely destroyed. This is the main temple in the four pagodas of Saharanpur metropolis. Bhog is offered 3 times daily in this temple of Bhuteshwar Mahadev. And the doors of the temple are opened at 4 am. From then on the devotees started coming and going. Bhog is offered to Mahadev at 8 in the morning. And then after offering bhog at 12 noon, the doors of the temple are closed till 4 pm. The legend goes something like this. Mahadev himself and his Rudra avatar Hanuman ji protect this ancient temple. According to history, something like this has been said. That once in the month of Sawan a 20 feet long Baba appeared at midnight. Who wore white clothes. And his beard was also white. Many devotees present there had seen this scene with their own eyes. He became a DM scene by going towards the pagoda from the side of Baba Shri Ram’s court. It is believed that he was Hanuman, the Rudra avatar of Mahadev. A similar story is quite prevalent about this temple, that Hanuman ji himself comes to visit the temple premises.
👉When the bells started ringing and the aarti itself took place, Pandit Anoop Sharma, the presiding officer of the temple, says that 40 years ago, the doors of the temple were closed as usual at ten o’clock in the night.
