Introduction and History in Brief

The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha situated in subramanya.

This temple is on the way to subrahmanya temple in kukke. very near to kukke subrahmanya murugan temple. Carved out of a single stone, the idol, seems to be one among the biggest vinayagar statues in India. poojas are done neatly and a very calm place to visit and do your prayers..

The speciality if the temple is the big statue of Lord Ganesha made or architect with the single piece of black rock stone.

It is also said that ganapathi which is made of eka shile saligrama.

Devotees also pronounce the beautiful and pure statue of Ganesha as “Yekashila Vigraha” of Lord Ganesha.

In the simple way, this is a beautifully sculpted big Ganesha, with huge lengthy doors and wooden inlay work. Very silent temple without any big hustle and bustle, you can satisfactorily have darshan of Ganesha.

The devotees’ advice of this temple is to spend some alone time and meditate too.

The nearest train station is Subrahmanya Road, 12.4 km from Kukke Subrahmanya Temple. Temple is easily accessible from this place.

Daily trains are available from Bangalore/Bengaluru and Mysore to Subrahmanya Road.

The nearest train station is Sakleshpur, 48 km from Kukke Subrahmanya Temple.

The direct bus to Kukke is available at the Sakleshpur bus station at a good frequency.

Devotees can reach this place from Bengaluru, Mysore and Mangalore train stations. Direct trains are available from these points.

It takes 8 hours 50 minutes – 9 hours and 20 minutes by train from Bangalore railway station.

It is 5 hours and 15 minutes from Mysore railway Junction.

KSRTC operates direct buses from Bengaluru/Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore to Kukke Temple

It takes 7 hours and 30 minutes by bus to get to this place.

A/C and Non-Ac Semi Sleeper Karnataka transport, Rajahamsa bus that work to Kukke temple at high frequency.

It is advisable to travel to Temple on government-operated buses instead of private vehicles.

Private busses are also available from Bengaluru, Mysore and Mangalore, but the facilities, hospitality and services are not good.

The KSRTC bus fare ranges from Rs.292 to Rs.701.
