Introduction and History in Brief
Very old and historical 101 Ganapati temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple has 101 Ganesha idols of various sizes and hence the name. The temple is more than 50 years old and was constructed during the Wodeyars reign. Originally the temple is located near the bank of the Devaraya Sagar or Doddakere Mysore Karnataka.
Ganesha- Gaṇeśa, also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon.His image is found throughout India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia (Java and Bali), Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Bangladesh and in countries with large ethnic Indian populations including Fiji, Guyana, Mauritius, and Trinidad and Tobago.Hindu denominations worship him regardless of affiliations. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains and Buddhists.
Although Ganesha has many attributes, he is readily identified by his elephant head.[8] He is widely revered, more specifically, as the remover of obstacles and thought to bring good luck; the patron of arts and sciences; and the deva of intellect and wisdom.As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as a patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.Several texts relate mythological anecdotes associated with his birth and exploits.
As Temple concern, morning and evening prayer time are the moments known as the crowded time of this temple. Temple use to full of devotees particularly in the Morning and evening during Shiva-Parvati Aarti and Lord Ganesha Paath.
Visitors and devotees can see many statues of holy deities like LORD BRAHMA, LORD SHIVA LORD VISHNU AND MAA DURGA.
Devotees use to come pray to Lord Ram Maa Sita ,Laxmanji and Hanumanji also.
Although,Temple is small and placed on the road as it is so beautiful and clean.
Temple people use to follow all covid 19 protocols . Temple is surrounded by Lots of Trees and fresh air as far as environment concern.

Modes of Travel
By Road
Mysore is 139kms to the south west of Bangalore. The state highway that connects these two cities is very well maintained. Travelling from Bangalore to Mysore by road is a pleasant experience and will take about 3hrs. The Karnataka Road Transport Corporation has excellent bus service to Mysore. There are ordinary buses, semi-luxury buses and luxury buses operated by the Government of Karnataka. Every half an hour there is a non-stop bus to Mysore from Bangalore Bus Station. Corporations of other states and private tour operators have buses plying to Mysore as well. All these facilities have made Mysore extremely accessible by road.
By Train
Mysore is connected with a number of trains to Bangalore. The super fast luxury train the Shatabdi Express connects Mysore to Madras. The quickest and most comfortable way to reach Mysore is via Bangalore.
By Air
The nearest airport to Mysore is Bangalore (139 km). All the domestic airlines in the country operate their flights to Bangalore from all the major cities in the country. Some international airlines too have flights to Bangalore. Bangalore is to have an international airport shortly.
