Introduction and History
The small temple is dedicated to lord Ganesha situated in Goa and the holy soil of Loliem.
The temple looks little old from outsite but very organised and managed inside as far as pujas,aartis or prayers concern.
Damodar (Sanskrit: दामोदर, IAST: Dāmodara, also spelled “Damodara” and “Damodarah”) is the 367th Name of Vishnu from the Vishnu sahasranama. The various meanings of the name are given as follows:
“The Lord when He was tied with a cord (dāma) around His waist (udara)”, denoting a divine pastime in which Krishna’s mother Yasoda bound Krishna for being mischievous. (Used by various Vaishnava adherents.)
“One who is known through a mind which is purified (Udara) by means of self-control (dama)”.
“One in whose bosom rests the entire universe.
Visitors can see the statues and of
Lord Brahma, Lord Visy, Lord Ganesha, Lord Ram – Maa Siiya, Shera wali Maa, Durga Maa and Krishna ji also.

By air:
If you are coming to Goa by airways then the nearest international airport is located at Dabolim. Dabolim main airport is situated at a distance of almost 29 kilometers away from Panaji. By road:
