Introduction and History in Brief

Dedicated to Lord Shiva,Rama-Maa Sita,Laxman Ji and Hanuman ji, the Pandaveshwar Nath Dham (Panda Bagh Mandir) Mandir is Shiva temple located at Farrukhabad,Uttar Pradesh.

Lord Pandeshwar Nath Dham of Farrukhabad is crowded with devotees since morning. It is a belief that only by seeing them one can get rid of all the troubles. By seeing them one gets the desired results. In this temple of Mahabharata, a continuous stream of devotion to Lord Mahadev flows. In the Pandeshwar Nath temple located on the railway road in Farrukhabad, the echo of Har Har Mahadev starts being heard all around since morning to offer prayers to Lord Shiva.

With the sunrise, devotees form long queues for worship. In the month of Sawan, the influx of innocent Bhandari devotees starts with the first rays of the sun for Jalabhishek. The atmosphere also becomes devotional due to the chants of Bam-Bam Bhole resonant in the temples.

The Pandavas had established this temple during their exile, hence the recognition of this temple is more. Ekachakranagari is mentioned in the Mahabharata, according to this, there was a fort of King Drupada near the banks of the Ganges, there were forests all around, Dhaumya Rishi’s ashram was on the banks of the Ganges, from where Dhaumya Rishi had gone to Kampilya to conduct Swayamvara. The Pandavas had taken refuge in this area during their exile.

The Pandavas started living with their mother Kunti under a peepal tree where they established a Shiva temple which is today known as Pandaveshwarnath Temple, Panda Bagh.

Lord Shankar is pleased with worship like this, Shiva Shankar is very naive, that is why we also call him Bholebhandari. Even if a devotee offers him just a lot of water with true devotion, he becomes happy. In this holy month of Sawan, Jalabhishek, Rudrabhishek is of great importance in Pandeshwar Nath temple.

Young girls who are facing obstacles in their marriage or are unable to get married due to some reason, it is believed that 40 days of continuous darshan of Pandeshwar Nath leads to marriage. All the obstacles in marriage are removed. It is believed that worshiping here for 40 days leads to early marriage. Every day hundreds of bachelors come here to seek vows. Many people have also received the blessings of early marriage here and all the problems of their marriage got removed.

Devotees make many kinds of wishes from their Pandeshwar Nath Baba, Lord Bhole listens to their devotees soon and fulfills all their wishes, due to which this temple has become quite popular. Worshiping in Pandeshwar Nath temple in Sawan fulfills every wish. The month of Sawan is very dear to Lord Shiva. That is why the worship of Shiva in this month is considered very important. It is believed that the ocean was churned in the month of Sawan itself.

The poison that came out after the churning of the ocean could have destroyed the whole world, but Lord Shiva contained that poison in his throat and protected the creator. It was only after this incident that the color of Lord Shiva turned blue and he was also called Neelkanth. It is said that when Shiva drank the poison, the gods and goddesses offered water to him to reduce its effect. This is the reason why water is offered to Shiva in Sawan.
